Is there a waiting period?
Yes, there is a 90-day waiting period from the date of the first successful debit order provided all payments are up to date.
Is the cam belt included in the Service Plan?
No, the cam belt replacement is excluded from the service plan. It can be covered if the client purchases the extra component benefit which is then added to the service plan premium and runs in conjunction with the Service Plan option purchased.
What is the Extra Component Benefit Limit?
The Benefit Limit purchased is added to the service plan premium as an optional extra and will cover the items as listed in point 6. The Extra Component Benefit covers these items up to the maximum Benefit Limit amount purchased, over the Service Plan contract period, and options range from R1000 to R5000.
What happens if the vehicle needs a service during the waiting period?
The cost of any service that is/becomes due is solely for the client’s account. Any service that becomes due during the waiting period cannot be delayed, by the client, and claimed once the plan becomes active. This service will then be rejected.
Where can I service my vehicle?
The vehicle can be serviced at any registered workshop i.e. Manufacturer or RMI registered dealer (examples are Car Service City, Bosch Service Centres etc).
Are brakes covered by the Service Plan?
No, but the client can opt to include the Extra Component Benefit which includes additional items i.e. cam belt, cam belt tensioner, cam belt roller, brake pad and discs, air con re-gas, wiper blades, fuses, diagnostics and shocks. (please note waiting periods)
